Hypnosis Mic franchise writer Yūichirō Momose announced Datewars, a new “timeless music IP project” that incorporates musical styles from the 1970s through the 2000s. There are plans for Datewars to expand into manga, anime, mobile games, concerts, films, and stage events, according to the project’s official website.
What’s more, the staff of the new project includes Hanaharu Naruko (Kandagawa Jet Girls) as character designer and Mino as music producer, video creator, and music commentator. The Datewars production committee includes talent agencies Twin Planet and INCS Toenter, creative agency UUUM, media company EXNOA, printing company Dai Nippon Printing, Hamachi Network 2, and content creator company LuaaZ.
Moreover, cast members for 14 characters were revealed, with the characters being divided into teams that focus on songs from a certain decade.
