Funcom revealed the new Chapter 2 update for Dune: Awakening will release on September 10, and a free 10-hour trial for the game is available from August 20 to 24 during Gamescom 2025. In addition, the new The Lost Harvest DLC will be released alongside the new update for $12.99, featuring a new standalone story and unique cosmetics.
The main story of Dune: Awakening continues in Chapter 2 with new and familiar characters, new locations, and new world content, including contracts, dynamic encounters, items, activities. More character creation options, including hairstyles, will be added alongside a re-customization feature for existing characters.
The Lost Harvest DLC brings a standalone storyline following the crash of a Miner’s Guild spice harvester. Players discover that it holds a secret cargo that proves to be quite valuable and important. The new DLC unlocks several new cosmetics, the Treadwheel, the Dune Man building set, new decorations, armor sets, weapons, and much more. The DLC is included with the Season Pass ($24.99), which is also included in the game’s Deluxe and Ultimate Editions.
Moreover, the Dune: Awakening soundtrack vinyl is now available for pre-order. The soundtrack was composed by Knut Avenstroup Haugen and recorded at the famous AIR Studio’s Lyndhurst Hall in London.
Dune: Awakening is available now for PC via Steam, and PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S are coming soon. Final Weapon reviewed Dune: Awakening and noted that it’s “a love letter to the world of Frank Herbert” and “has some of the most immersive survival gameplay in recent years as well as an intriguing entry in the Dune lore.”
