The Pokémon Company has announced a new event for Pokémon GO, titled Sunkissed Shores. The event will start on August 25 and feature the debut of Dondozo, the Catfish Pokémon.
The event will last until August 31 and feature double XP for winning Raid Battles as an event bonus. There’s also Paid Timed Research for $1.99, which includes 4,000 XP, 3,000 Stardust, Pinap Berry Bag avatar item, and more. Further, the following wild Pokémon and Raids will be available:

Recently, The Pokémon Company has revealed the dates for the next batch of Pokémon GO Community Days. Community Days allow players to meet up at local parks to play Pokémon GO, catch Pokémon, and create new connections. The next season will feature these days on the following dates:
