The Pokémon Company announced Pokémon Legends: Z-A will be playable during the 2025 Pokémon World Championships, which takes place from August 15 to 17 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Los Angeles, California. A Pokémon Legends: Z-A demo will be playable each day from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. PDT.
In order to play Pokémon Legends: Z-A at the 2025 Pokémon World Championships, players must register in advance with a Nintendo account and the Warp Pipe Pass system. Registration will open on August 11 at 9:00 a.m. PDT and end on August 14 at 11:59 p.m. PDT.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A will launch on October 16 for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The Nintendo Switch version of Pokémon Legends: Z-A will cost $59.99, the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition costs $69.99, and the upgrade pack costs $9.99. Moreover, players who purchase either the physical or digital version for Nintendo Switch may upgrade to the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition by purchasing an upgrade pack on the Nintendo eShop and My Nintendo Store.
While waiting, players can enjoy 60 FPS gameplay in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet on Nintendo Switch 2 at 60 FPS. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet received optimization updates on the platform to support higher resolutions and improve frame rates, texture quality, and other features.
