Netmarble and developer Netmarble Monster announced new multi-platform action RPG MONGIL: STAR DIVE will be exhibited and playable at Gamescom 2025, which will be held in Cologne, Germany from August 20 to August 24. There will be hands-on demos of MONGIL: STAR DIVE at Samsung’s B2C booth on the Gamescom 2025 show floor, powered by Samsung Electronics’ latest Odyssey 3D gaming monitor and Galaxy Z Fold7.
The MONGIL: STAR DIVE hands-on demo experience will feature Samsung’s “Odyssey 3D,” a new glasses-free 3D gaming monitor featuring eye tracking and view mapping technology for tailored 3D interactions. Moreover, MONGIL: STAR DIVE will be featured at “The World of #PlayGalaxy,” Samsung’s exclusive user experience event that will be held from August 22 -23 at Dock2 in Cologne. Players can experience MONGIL: STAR DIVE on the new Galaxy Z Fold7, as the game has been optimized specifically for the new device.
Visitors will also be eligible to receive exclusive MONGIL: STAR DIVE merchandise, including key chains featuring mascot “Nyanners.” A shuttle bus service will be available to conveniently transport attendees between Gamescom 2025’s Koelnmesse venue and the Dock2 event site.
MONGIL: STAR DIVE is coming to consoles, mobile, and PC in the second half of 2025. The game’s story centers around protagonists Verna and Cloud. Their companion, Yaongi, has abilities that will help you catch and train monsters, build teams of three characters, and optimize the party’s strategy in tag-based action. Developed in Unreal Engine 5, MONGIL: STAR DIVE carries over Monster Taming’s unique character roster and universe.
During the G-STAR 2024 event in Busan, South Korea, Final Weapon had the opportunity to interview MONGIL: STAR DIVE project director MinKyun Kim and business team manager DaHaeng Lee to learn more about the upcoming action RPG.
