Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is introducing multiple features and changes to the game in the upcoming patch, such as new changes to the “Smart Style” control scheme. The “Smart Style” control scheme will officially feature feints and brakes, enhancing the effectiveness of these controls in competitive matches.
Additionally, intermediate and advanced combo trials will be added to mission mode. That’s not all though, as Capcom music will also be added to the jukebox. Street Fighter III and Street Fighter 6 music will be among the additions, so stay tuned to find out which particular songs are available.
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves – “Smart Style” Changes and Jukebox Additions
For those unaware, SNK officially launched the first digital sale for COTW. Starting today, players can purchase the game’s Special Edition at a 40% discount, bringing the price down to $35.99. The digital Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves sale is live across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and the Epic Games Store, and will run through August 13, 2025.
The Special Edition includes the base game and Season Pass 1, which features the following upcoming DLC characters:
- Andy Bogard
- Street Fighter’s Ken Masters (Summer 2025)
- Joe Higashi (Fall 2025)
- Street Fighter’s Chun-Li (Winter 2025)
- Mr. Big (Early 2026)
Moreover, Ken arrives to COTW with his Street Fighter 6 outfit and his classic outfit, and David Matranga voices him. Ken is currently playable at demo stations at the SNK booth during EVO 2025, which takes place from August 1 to 3, 2025, at the Las Vegas Convention Center West Hall in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves will also receive many additions in fall 2025, such as character-specific ranks. Phase 0 of the Ranked Match matchmaking lasts until fall 2025, followed by Phase 1 and new features. Phase 1 of the Ranked Match mode will introduce another rank within the mode and character-specific ranks.
Lastly, as part of the SNK World Championship 2025, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves will headline the tournament circuit with a $2,500,000 total prize pool. In particular, the winner of the tournament will take home $1,500,000. Qualifying tournaments will be held in various regions worldwide during SNK World Championship 2025.
