Pokémon Legends Z-A Reveals Mega Dragonite and Switch 2 Bundle

Team up with Team MZ to investigate the new Mega-Evolved Pokémon.

The Pokémon Company released a new trailer for Pokémon Legends: Z-A, revealing new Mega-Evolved Pokémon like Mega Dragonite. Dragonite is one of many Wild Pokémon that are mysteriously Mega Evolving in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, and players must work with Team MZ and obtain Mega Stones to help them calm down.

In addition, Nintendo confirmed a Nintendo Switch 2 bundle featuring a full game download of Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will be available on October 16. Pre-orders are available now at retail for $499.99.

In addition, a playable demo of Pokémon Legends: Z-A will be available at Gamescom 2025, which will be held in Cologne, Germany from August 20 to August 24. Gamescom 2025 will be one of the first events to offer a hands-on demo of Pokémon Legends: Z-A.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A will launch on October 16 for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The Nintendo Switch version of Pokémon Legends: Z-A will cost $59.99, the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition costs $69.99, and the upgrade pack costs $9.99. Moreover, players who purchase either the physical or digital version for Nintendo Switch may upgrade to the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition by purchasing an upgrade pack on the Nintendo eShop and My Nintendo Store. 

While waiting, players can enjoy 60 FPS gameplay in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet on Nintendo Switch 2 at 60 FPS. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet received optimization updates on the platform to support higher resolutions and improve frame rates, texture quality, and other features.
