Digital Extremes has revealed the next narrative chapter for Warframe, titled “The Old Peace,” during TennoCon 2025. It will release for free later this year alongside a new side story called “The Devil’s Triad.”
Digital Extremes also showcased a new Valkyr Heirloom cosmetic, which will release on July 21, an untitled fall update, a closed beta for the Android version of the game, access to Caliban Prime, and another new narrative chapter which will release in 2026, simply called “Tau.” Check out the first trailer for “The Old Peace,” releasing in Warframe later this year, below:
The trailer’s description describes the chapter:
Our next major update takes you on a spectacular journey through distant memories of The Old War, a profound and ancient conflict between the Orokin and their Sentient creations in the far-flung system of Tau. Set during a fragile period of calm, The Old Peace will see your remastered Operator traversing the battlefields of Perita as you uncover the hostilities that threaten to unravel a vitally important truce.
The introduction of unique enemies and allies – including a new Sentient friend named Adis – are just the tip of the spear. In addition to a spectacular cinematic Quest, The Old Peace will also include our latest musical release, a limited appearance by Excalibur Prime, the Tauron Focus Expansion, never-before-seen Protoframes and the devil Warframe himself, Uriel.
Warframe is available now on PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Soulframe, Digital Extremes’ next game, will potentially release later this year. If you make a new account on the official Soulframe website before July 21, you’ll be able to access the game’s Pre-Alpha, titled “Preludes.”
