Kuro Games announced Wuthering Waves Version 2.5, titled Unfading Melody of Life, will be released for Android, iOS, and PC via Windows and Epic Games Store, and PlayStation 5 on July 24 (UTC+8). This update will introduce a brand-new region, as well as one new Resonator. Furthermore, players will finally be able to play the game on the Steam Deck
Wuthering Waves Version 2.5 Adds a New Area
For the seventh Act of the Chapter 2 Main Story, titled Dreamcatchers in the Secret Gardens, players will discover the mysteries surrounding Phrolova, the eccentric woman who is known as the Overseer of the Fractidus. Additionally, players will explore a new area called the Fabricatorium of the Deep, a location potentially tied to the Order of the Deep.
Wuthering Waves Version 2.5 Adds Phrolova
Phrolova will debut as the new 5-Star Resonator in Version 2.5. She is a Havoc-attributed Rectifier unit that brings her exceptionally elegant combat style into the mix. She commands Hecate to attack her enemies, and her Forte Gauge takes the form of a music sheet. Upon landing certain attacks on enemies, Phrolova can gain different types of Volatile Notes.
When a certain combination of them is on the music sheet, she unleashes a much more powerful attack. Her Resonance Liberation causes her to go into Overclock mode, causing her Forte Gauge to begin playing her Volatile Notes from left to right. Each Volatile Note will perform a different type of attack.
Version 2.5 Optimizations
- Echo Management: Players can now Auto-Lock or Auto-Discard plans in the Data Bank. You can create management plans for Echoes based on quality, COST, Sonata Effects, and Mainstats. When a new Echo is obtained, it will automatically be locked or marked for discard according to the active plans.
- Sync Tuning: The Sync Tuning option has been added to the Echo Upgrade. With the Sync Tuning option enabled, Tuners will be added automatically as you upgrade an Echo, which allows Echo Tuning to synchronize with Echo Upgrade.
- More Preset Teams: Following the Version 2.5 update, up to 10 preset teams can now be created.
- On / Off Option for Resonator Skill Music: The Skill Music option is available for specific Resonators, allowing players to turn on or off the background music that accompanies the casting of their Resonators’ skills.
Wuthering Waves Version 2.5 Trailer
Wuthering Waves launched on May 22, 2024 for Android, iOS, and PC via Windows and Epic Games Store, and on PlayStation 5 in early January 2025. Over 30 million players have downloaded the game thus far. To celebrate 30 million downloads, Kuro Games distributed Lustrous Tide x10 and Crystal Solvent x5 to all Wuthering Waves players for free.
