Turtle Beach has revealed a new wireless controller based on the Donkey Kong franchise. The controller is available now to pre-order for $59.99, and it will release on October 12.

The Rematch Wireless Controller is compatible with the entire Nintendo Switch family of systems, including the Nintendo Switch 2. While it does not feature the console’s C-button, it does include a unique DK design which changes as you move the controller, built-in motion controls, two reprogrammable back buttons, ergonomic design, 30-foot low latency wireless connection, and a 40-hour rechargeable battery.

The announcement comes just in time for the release of Donkey Kong Bananza, available now on Nintendo Switch 2. The game, which costs $69.99 and is developed by the Super Mario Odyssey team, features Donkey Kong embarking on a journey with a young Pauline as the latter seeks to fulfill her dream of becoming a great singer. She joins Donkey Kong as an ally against the dastardly Void Company. Diddy Kong, Cranky Kong, and Dixie Kong will also be present in the game.

Donkey Kong has several abilities to challenge the Void Company and get to the center of the planet before them. You can dive punch to drill deep into the ground, perform a hand slap to find hidden items, and surf on a rock across the terrain. There are also transformations you can unlock with different utilities, such as granting flight, high speeds, or high strength.

Additionally, Donkey Kong Bananza has several modes. This includes co-op play that you can do via gameshare or locally. You can also carve items from stone in the DK Artist mode, also using the mouse. There will even be a new amiibo releasing on July 17 (plus all previous amiibos can be used with the game).
