CyberAgent announced a special panel for the anime adaptation of Mokumokuren’s The Summer Hikaru Died manga will be held at Otakon 2025, which takes place in Washington, D.C., from August 8 to 10 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Hikaru voice actor Shuichiro Umeda will appear at the panel.
The Otakon 2025 panel for The Summer Hikaru Died will be held on Friday, August 8 at 5:45 p.m. EDT. There will be a live reading of scenes from the anime, along with in-depth discussions about the adaptation. Additionally, an autograph session with Umeda is also scheduled.
The Summer Hikaru Died premiered on July 5 on Netflix. Vaundy performs the opening theme song “Saikai (Reunion),” and TOOBOE performs the ending theme song “you are my monster.”

Ryohei Takeshita directs the anime. Yuichi Takahashi is the character designer and chief animation director, and Masanobu Hiraoka is the DORODORO animator. Moreover, the anime will be produced by Cygames Pictures and published by Kadokawa.
