Ys X: Proud Nordics will feature a 120 FPS performance mode on Nintendo Switch 2, along with a 60 FPS default setting, according to Inside Games. The 120 FPS performance mode is especially smooth for playing Ys X: Proud Nordics in handheld mode, since the Nintendo Switch 2 LCD screen supports 120Hz.
Ys X: Proud Nordics is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on July 31 in Japan, and additional platforms for the game have not been announced. Ys X: Proud Nordics will be sold physically and digitally in Japan, and first-print copies of the physical edition include the “Additional Music Collection” CD. Clouded Leopard Entertainment will release Ys X: Proud Nordics on August 21 with an additional PC (Steam) version in Asia with Japanese audio and Korean, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese subtitles.
Ys X: Proud Nordics features a new story, new elements and upgrades, new bosses, Mana Ride races, battles in the arena where deadly enemies await, new Mana Actions, and much more. Players will have access to Aland Island, a massive island located north of Obelia Gulf. While Adol Christin and Karja Balta fight off the Griegr, they will visit the island and uncover countless ruins in these unexplored lands. An encounter with another “Mana user” awaits them there.
