Koei Tecmo has released a free Wild Hearts S demo in the Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch 2, giving players a sample of what’s to come in the full game. The Wild Hearts S demo includes content from the prologue to “Minato,” with beasts like Ragetail, Sapscourge, and Kingtusk.
Moreover, the demo allows players to wield powerful weapons and craft and assemble various Karakuri to face off the beasts. Demo from the Wild Hearts S demo carries over to the full game.
Wild Hearts S will not support cross-play or GameShare, and a Nintendo Switch Online membership is required for online play. However, an EA account is not necessary. The game also leverages the use of GameChat on Nintendo Switch 2, and additional beasts and modes from the original Wild Hearts game are included from the start.
Bonuses from Wild Hearts Karakuri Edition are included in Wild Hearts S, such as two full cosmetic armor sets, a decorate Tsukumo lantern, and three emotes. However, there are no new additional weapons, Karakuri, or beasts. What’s more, there are various balance adjustments that were made.
Here are the notable balance adjustments, via Koei Tecmo:
- Adjusted the parameters of specific weapons and armor, making it easier to challenge high-difficulty bosses in the early stages by optimizing relevant equipment.
- Modified the mechanics of how beasts escape based on damage and also reduced frequency of their escapes.
Wild Hearts S will release for Nintendo Switch 2 on July 25, and digital pre-orders are available now. Lastly, Wild Hearts Karakuri Edition is available now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
