PlayStation has announced that the gameplay overview State of Play for Ghost of Yōtei will take place on July 10. It will be held at 2 PM PDT/5 PM EDT/10 PM BST/11 PM CEST.
According to the PlayStation Blog post, the State of Play will feature nearly 20 minutes of gameplay. Sucker Punch’s Creative Directors, Jason Connell and Nate Fox, will host the event. It will show more about Atsu’s quest for vengeance, plus her new weapons, new ways to “personalize your journey at the edge of Japan,” new modes, and much more.
Three editions of Ghost of Yōtei will be available: a standard edition for $69.99, a digital deluxe edition for $79.99, and a Collector’s Edition. If you pre-order the game, you will receive six avatars to use on your PlayStation profile and an in-game mask.
The digital deluxe edition includes an armor set, armor dye, a horse and saddle, a sword kit, and early access to “traveler’s maps.” The collector’s edition will include all digital items mentioned above, as well as a physical sash, ghost mask, Tsuba, art cards, Zeni Hajiki coin game and pouch, and a papercraft Ginkgo tree.

The story follows a haunted, lone mercenary named Atsu. Thirsty for revenge, she travels through the beautiful, rugged landscapes of northern Japan, hunting those who killed her family many years earlier.
Sixteen years after her family’s death, Atsu’s quest across Ezo brings her to unexplored lands in search of a gang of six outlaws, but she finds much more than vengeance.
Throughout her journey, Atsu will discover unlikely allies, and greater bonds than she could have imagined.
