    The Ghost in the Shell Anime Reveals New Teaser and Logo

    The anime will air in 2026.

    Bandai Namco Filmworks revealed a new teaser for the upcoming anime adaptation of The Ghost in the Shell at Anime Expo 2025. In addition, the anime’s official website unveiled a new logo designed by artist Hajime Sorayama. The staff also showed the previous key visual with the new logo on it.

    During the panel, one of the producers assured fans that The Ghost in the Shell anime would remain faithful to the original manga. They also announced that the script is nearly done and they are currently working on storyboards.

    The panel also announced that “The Exhibition of The World of Shirow Masamune – ‘The Ghost in the Shell’ and ‘The Path of Creation'” exhibition will be held in Los Angeles. The exhibition first opened at the Setagaya Literary Museum in Tokyo on April 12 and will be open till August 17.

    DAN DA DAN key animator Moko-chan will direct the anime at Science Saru. Toh Enjoe is writing and overseeing the series scripts, and Shūhei Handa is The Ghost in the Shell’s  character designer and chief animation director. What’s more, Handa also drew the new teaser visual shown above. Bandai Namco Filmworks, Kodansha, and Production I.G. are involved with the project on the production committee.
