    Coming in 2025 via Prototype.

On the 1905th Weekly Famitsu issue, Prototype has announced that the studio will be porting the otome visual novel Yami-iro no Maju to Nintendo Switch sometime this year. As of the time of writing, it is unknown if this game will be localized in English, like many of the publisher’s offerings the past couple years have been.

Yami-iro no Maju was first launched in Japan for PC on December 22, 2023. The story follows the protagonist, Rika, the daughter of the renowned Starnis family. Under the guidance of her outstanding older brother Fin, she is admitted to Oriens Academy, a prestigious school where only the elite sorcerers gather. But the truth is, she is not very good at magic. And right after she enrolled, she is overwhelmed by how highly skilled at magic are those around her. Still, with the help of her kind friends and Fin, she decides to do her best.

The Nintendo Switch version of Yami-iro no Maju will feature full voice acting in Japanese, with the same cast from the PC release:

    • Victor Erico Migat – VA: Satou Takuya
    • Cal Ai Migat – VA: Chiba Shouya
    • Gran Erico Presence – VA: Yamashita Seiichirou
    • Silva – VA: Ono Yuuki
    • Fin Sidim Starnis – VA: Saitou Souma
