Cygames has announced that Granblue Fantasy: Relink has officially surpassed 2 million units sold worldwide. Originally released in February 2024, Granblue Fantasy: Relink launched during a packed release window, alongside titles like Persona 3 Reload, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, and Tekken 8. Despite the tough competition, the action RPG hit 1 million sales within its first two weeks. And now, around 16 months later, that number has doubled.
This milestone comes after a long development cycle and steady post-launch support. Cygames has delivered several major updates, introducing new playable characters, balance adjustments, and quality-of-life improvements.
General Director Tetsuya Fukuhara addressed fans with a personal message: “[…] After the game’s release, the response from around the world was greater than we could have imagined, and we were delighted to be able to share the world of Granblue Fantasy with so many people. On behalf of the entire development team, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all players.“
Cygames President Koichi Watanabe also commented: ”[…] The team has worked long and hard to create a title that can be enjoyed by many people regardless of their background. We hope that everyone will continue to enjoy Relink and other high-quality content from Cygames.”
Granblue Fantasy: Relink features fast-paced, party-based combat and a full story campaign, making it a standout for fans of action RPGs. The game is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.
