Capcom has released the “Creators’ Message” developer diary video for Resident Evil Requiem featuring commentary and insight from game director Koshi Nakanishi, art director Tomonori Takano, and co-producers Masachika Kawata and Masato Kumazawa. There will be more Creators’ Message videos to come for Resident Evil Requiem before the game’s launch next year.
At Summer Game Fest 2025, Capcom revealed Resident Evil Requiem as the ninth game in the mainline Resident Evil franchise. Resident Evil Requiem will release on February 27, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Final Weapon had the opportunity to experience hands-off gameplay of Resident Evil Requiem at Summer Game Fest.
In Resident Evil Requiem, protagonist Grace Ashcroft, an employee of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, is set to journey back to where it all began: Raccoon City. Players will have the choice to choose between first and third-person perspectives, which will allow for two completely different horror experiences.
