Niantic has revealed the newest major event for Monster Hunter Now, titled Summer Hunt 2025 – Sea of Monsters and Seaside Vacation. The former will take place from July 26 to 27, while the latter will start on July 21.
Summer Hunt 2025: Sea of Monsters focuses on the Elder Dragon, Namielle. According to Niantic, “by purchasing an event ticket, you’ll unlock no cooldown time after joining Elder Dragon Interceptions and Hunt-a-thons, as well as Namielle-only Interceptions, giving you way more opportunities to slay it.” There are also several exclusive layered equipment rewards.
Summer Hunt 2025: Seaside Vacation features more event-exclusive equipment. Players will be able to forge weapons and armor that have boosted stats and skills for the duration of the event. Monster Hunter Now is available now on iOS and Android. Check out our preview from Summer Game Fest, focused on the game’s upcoming content updates for season 6.
Monster Hunter Wilds is now available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Final Weapon gave Monster Hunter Wilds a 4/5 score, noting that it’s an excellent entry in the long-running series and a worthy follow-up to Capcom’s most successful game ever. Despite the performance issues, Capcom delivers one of the best-feeling combat systems in Monster Hunter Wilds along with the franchise’s first legitimate story mode.
Its next major title update will release on June 30. The update will include the Lagiacrus, Seregios, Arch-Tempered Uth Duna, Layered Weapons, and other additional features. After completing their initial main missions in Monster Hunter Wilds, both Lagiacrus and Seregios will also appear as 8★ Tempered monsters in Title Update 2 for hunters HR41 and above.
