The event is live until July 15.

XD Games announced a new collaboration event between cozy fantasy mobile MMORPG Go Go Muffin and the legendary anime franchise Neon Genesis Evangelion is live until July 15.  EVA pilots, a range of custom gear, and some new game modes have made their way into the game world of Midgard.

The Go Go Muffin and Neon Genesis Evangelion collaboration lets players transform into iconic EVA characters like Shinji Ikari, Asuka Langley, Rei Ayanami, and Kaworu Nagisa. Players can also unlock exclusive collaboration outfits and mounts inspired by Evangelion Units and plug suits. Moreover, there are themed events and bosses to defeat in limited-time crossover content.

As described by XD Games, “Go Go Muffin combines relaxing idle progression with real-time dungeon action, giving players a chance to explore and battle at their own pace. Whether adventuring solo or teaming up in 4 or 6 player party dungeons, Go Go Muffin offers an entirely flexible fantasy experience for players of all kinds.”

The iconic Evangelion series is available in multiple forms, including anime, novels, and manga. VIZ Media publishes the original Neon Genesis Evangelion manga and describes it as follows:

In 2015, the “Angels” have returned, and Shinji Ikari, a fourteen year-old child of the new Earth, is forced by his father Gendo–commander of the secret organization NERV–to pilot the monstrous biomechanical weapon called “Evangelion” to match the Angels’ fearsome power…

Eva Vol. 1 contains a Japanese sound FX glossary plus a commentary by series mecha designer Ikuto Yamashita and the famous “confession letter” written by director Hideaki Anno in the months before the original TV premiere of Evangelion.
