Pocketpair initially announced the Palworld and Terraria collaboration in November 2024. The game is also available now on Mac with Crossplay functionality. Pocketpair will release more patches and major updates for the game in the future, starting with the Terraria collaboration. In May 2025, Pocketpair announced new changes that will be coming to Palworld in the wake of Nintendo’s ongoing lawsuit against the company. Some of the new changes will be implemented with the most recent patch, v0.5.5.
The new patch removes the ability to glide with a Pal. Instead, players will need to glide with a specific glider item. However, Pals can still provide buffs that apply to gliding. One of Pocketpair’s other new changes added to Palworld due to the ongoing lawsuit released in November. The change removed the ability to summon Pals via a Pal Sphere. Both changes are available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Mac, and PC via Steam.
