    Final Fantasy XIV Patch 7.3: The Promise of Tomorrow Launches in Early August 2025

    A new Alliance Raid, Deep Dungeon and more.

    During today’s 87th Producer Letter livestream, Square Enix announced the next update for their Final Fantasy XIV online MMORPG. Patch 7.3, titled The Promise of Tomorrow, is set to release in early August.

    During the livestream, Final Fantasy XIV director Naoki Yoshida gave further details in regards to what’s coming in Patch 7.3, including a new Alliance Raid, new Main Scenario quests, and a new Deep Dungeon.

    Naoki Yoshida Addresses Player Feedback

    One of the first topics of the livestream featured a corner where Yoshida addressed some feedback from players in regards to the new content that was added in Patch 7.2: Occult Crescent and Cosmic Exploration. Here are some of the changes that are coming to each of them:

    • [Cosmic Exploration] Adding the ability to use a retainer bell, as well as Teleport Tickets that will warp the player to the moon directly.
    • [Cosmic Exploration] Players may now use mounts on the new planet that’s coming in Patch 7.3.
    • [Cosmic Exploration] In gatherer missions, GP that is spent will be restored, and any Cordials/Hi-Cordials that are under cooldown will be able to be used again once the mission is complete.
    • [Occult Crescent] Players can now queue into the Forked Tower with a pre-made 48-player alliance. The Mirage weather that spawns the tower will also no longer occur while a Critical Engagement is in progress.

    • New Dungeon: The Meso Terminal
    • New Trial: Includes both Normal and Extreme modes
    • New Deep Dungeon: Pilgrim’s Traverse

    • New Unreal Trial: The Wreath of Snakes (Unreal): Take on Seiryu, one of the Four Lords, at level 100
    • Inconceivably Further Hildibrand Adventures
    • New Allied Society Quests: Yok Huy
    • New Treasure Dungeon: Vault Oneiron
    • Duty Support Additions:  Support for the Cutter’s Cry will be added
    • Cosmic Exploration: New Planet: Phaenna – A new planet for intrepid crafters and gatherers to explore

    • PvP Updates: The start of PvP Series 9, existing action adjustments, new ranked tiers and the addition of a new Crystalline Conflict arena: the Bayside Battleground
    • Weapon Enhancements Quests: Phantom Weapons
