    Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 Trailer Reveals New Cast Members

    The official website for the Kaiju No. 8 anime has released a new trailer for season 2, confirming more members of the season’s cast. Additionally, it has also revealed the new opening theme song for the second season. 

    Norwegian singer-songwriter Aurora performs the opening theme, titled “You Can’t Run From Yourself.” The new cast members for season 2 of Kaiju No. 8 include Hiroki Yasumoto as Eiji Hasegawa and Kana Hanazawa as Rin Shinonome. The second season will premiere on July 19.

    Moreover, the original Kaiju No. 8 side story episode “Hoshina’s Day Off” will air on Japanese TV, including TV Tokyo and affiliated channels, and X on July 5 at 11:00 p.m. JST / 10:00 a.m. EDT. Yūto Tsukuda is the writer for the compilation film’s new episode, and Yuichiro Kido is the scriptwriter. OneRepublic performs the ending theme song “Invincible.”

    Additionally, Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ website recently confirmed that Naoya Matsumoto is ending the Kaiju No. 8 manga series in just two chaptersKaiju No. 8 chapter 128 will release on June 20, followed by chapter 129 to mark the ending of the manga. All 12 episodes of Kaiju No. 8 Season 1 are streaming right now on Crunchyroll with English subs and dubs. Crunchyroll describes the anime as follows:

    In a world plagued by creatures known as Kaiju, Kafka Hibino aspired to enlist in The Defense Force. He makes a promise to enlist with his childhood friend, Mina Ashiro. Soon, life takes them in separate ways. While employed cleaning up after Kaiju battles, Kafka meets Reno Ichikawa.
