Capcom announced a Capcom Spotlight broadcast will be held on June 26 at 3:00 p.m. PDT / 6:00 p.m. EDT on YouTube in English and Japanese. The broadcast will be 40 minutes long and feature the latest news on Capcom’s upcoming games, including Resident Evil Requiem, along with developer interviews.

Moreover, the June 26 Capcom Spotlight will also feature new details on the newest update for Monster Hunter Wilds, along with information about PRAGMATA and upcoming Street Fighter 6 updates.

At Summer Game Fest 2025, Capcom revealed Resident Evil Requiem as the ninth game in the mainline Resident Evil franchise. Resident Evil Requiem will release on February 27, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Final Weapon had the opportunity to experience hands-off gameplay of Resident Evil Requiem at Summer Game Fest.

In Resident Evil Requiem, protagonist Grace Ashcroft, an employee of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, is set to journey back to where it all began: Raccoon City. Players will have the choice to choose between first and third-person perspectives, which will allow for two completely different horror experiences.

Lastly, here’s an overview of the game, courtesy of Capcom:

Requiem for the dead. Nightmare for the living.

Resident Evil Requiem is the ninth title in the mainline Resident Evil series.

Prepare to escape death in a heart-stopping experience that will chill you to your core.

A new era of survival horror begins in 2026. Technological advancements combined with the development team’s depth of experience combine in a story with rich characters and gameplay that’s more immersive than ever before.
