A new way to upgrade your Pokémon.

    Published:

Niantic and The Pokémon Company have revealed the new GO Pass: Ancients Recovered for Pokémon GO alongside all-new rare items called Gold Battle Caps. Gold Bottle Caps can increase the HP, Attack, and Defense of a Pokémon that is a Great Buddy or higher through Hyper Training.

Once selected, Pokémon GO players must complete specific Training Tasks pertaining to the stats they want to raise for their Pokémon. Gold Bottle Caps will be a feature reward in the GO Pass Deluxe: Ancients Recovered, which becomes available from Monday, June 23, at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, June 29, at 6:00 p.m. local time.

Moreover, to celebrate the new Pokémon GO Ancients Recovered event, all players will receive a free GO Pass on June 23, at 10:00 a.m. local time. GO Pass rewards include:

    • A random encounter with a Regirock, Regice, Registeel, Regieleki, or Regidrago with a Special Background
    • Encounters with dapper Pikachu with red, blue, or yellow accents
    • Event-themed Pokémon
    • Additional items such as Stardust, XP, Poké Balls, and Candy

The free GO Pass can be upgraded to GO Pass Deluxe: Ancients Recovered to get Gold Bottle Caps and additional rewards, including a Zacian Mask avatar item, a Zamazenta Mask avatar item, and premium items, including Incense, a Lucky Egg, an Incubator, Lure Modules, and more. More details can be found at the official Pokémon GO blog.

The Ancients Recovered event will be held from June 23 at 10:00 a.m. to June 27 at 8:00 p.m. local time during Pokémon GO Fest 2025 Global. Five-star raids, six-star Max Battles, Timed Research, and a Global Challenge will also be available during the event. Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Global follows up from June 28 to June 29, and global tickets are available in the in-game shop.
