Nioh 3 Alpha Demo Update 1.02 Fixes Freezing Issues

Koei Tecmo and Team NINJA the version 1.02 update for the Nioh 3 Alpha Demo is now available on PlayStation 5. The update fixes freezing issues during the tutorial and an issue where the Nioh 3 Alpha Demo doesn’t run properly after ending an online session. 

Here are the patch notes for Nioh 3 Alpha Demo update 1.02:

  • Fixed an issue where the game might not resume properly after ending online multiplayer mode.
  • Fixed an issue where the game might freeze when the tutorial appeared at certain timings.

Nioh 3 is currently in development with no confirmed release date, and the demo will only be available until June 18. Lastly, here’s an overview of the demo, via the PlayStation Store:

In the demo version of Nioh 3, the latest in the dark samurai action RPG series, you can enjoy a specially selected portion of the game for a limited time only.

Note:

      • Nioh 3 Alpha Demo is only available for online use and cannot be played offline.
      • This content will only be available for a limited time until June 18th, 2025. Please be aware that once this period has passed, the demo cannot be downloaded or played.

Players who are able to complete the demo will be gifted a piece of equipment (a helmet) for use in the final release version of the game.

In order to deliver the best possible product to our customers, we will also be conducting a survey to reference during development of the final version of the game. The survey will also be accessible from inside the demo version. We sincerely hope you enjoy the demo and share your impressions and opinions with us.

Key Elements of the Game:
      • An open field that challenges you to the fullest – This game features an open field filled with the sense of tension characteristic of the Nioh series while also allowing you to explore to your heart’s content. In this dark samurai world, you will encounter formidable yokai, explore menacing villages where darkness lurks, and struggle against the ominous presence of “the Crucible.”
      • Samurai and Ninja combat styles – You can enjoy an instantaneous and seamless switch between two combat styles during battle, facing your enemies head-on with Samurai Style and using quick movements and special techniques with Ninja Style.

Note:

      • A PlayStation Plus subscription is not required for the multiplayer mode.
      • Trophies cannot be obtained in the demo.
      • In order to receive the demo completion bonus, you must play the final release version on the console where the demo version data is saved, and you must also use the same account when playing the demo version and the final release version.
