During a recent livestream, Amazing Seasun Games and Mecha BREAK executive producer Kris Kwok revealed a slew of major improvements, changes, and features for the game ahead of launch. These changes were made based on player feedback from the Mecha BREAK open beta, which was held in February.
At launch, Mecha BREAK will feature all 12 strikers unlocked from the start for free, and the gameplay mechanics for Mashmak have been optimized. Mashmak will offer three difficulty levels: Regular, Difficult, and Challenging. Each difficulty level offers unique airdrop equipment and player capabilities, and players can also expect new bosses, weapons and individual missions.
Mecha BREAK players can edit their pilots’ hairstyle, makeup, bodyshape at any time for free, and more customization content will be added at a later date. There will be more exploration options in Hangar as well, including more rooms like the medical room and canteen. Players can also take a closer look at their mechs, take photos, and interact with NPCs in the hangar. Moreover, players can invite their friends to their hangars in a future update.
New maps will be available at launch, including ones that include space and underwater battle scenes. Mods have been removed from 3v3 and 6v6, but they’re still usable in Mashmak. Two new strikers, along with other new content, will be revealed in the next livestream on June 22.
Mecha BREAK launches July 1 for Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. The game’s theme song “UPGRADE(D)” by iconic composer Hiroyuki SAWANO (Attack on Titan, The Seven Deadly Sins, Solo Leveling, Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn, Xenoblade Chronicles X, and more). The full song is available on streaming platforms, including Apple Music and Spotify.
