The staff of david production’s original Onmyō Kaiten Re:verse TV anime revealed the opening and ending theme songs in a new promotional video, along with a new key visual on the official website. Who-ya Extended performs the opening theme song “Cry Out Cry Over’, and 9Lana performs the ending theme song “Turn Over.”

The Onmyō Kaiten Re:verse anime premieres on July 2, and Crunchyroll will stream the anime outside Japan. In Japan, the anime will air on Fuji TV’s +Ultra programming block at 12:45 a.m. JST (effectively July 3), according to the anime’s official website.
The cast of the Onmyō Kaiten Re:verse includes:
- Taihi Kimura as Takeru Narehira
- Maaya Uchida as Tsukimiya
- Ryōhei Kimura as Abe no Seimei
- Kaito Ishikawa as Atsunaga
- Anna Nagase as Yura
- Marina Inoue as Kazura
- Chihaya Yoshitake as Shino
Hideya Takahashi is directing the original anime at david production, and he’s also credited with the original story concept. Light novel author Akutō Satō created the anime’s original plot concept, and Hayashi Mori is in charge of the series scripts. Kazuaki Morita is the character designer, Katsuie Shibata is in charge of worldbuilding and research, and Kitsuneiro is the concept artist. Masahiro Tokuda is the anime’s music composer.
Fujiko Sakuno and Kyūjō Matsumoto launched the official manga adaptation in Kodansha’s Morning Two magazine on February 6. The story focuses on an alternate version of Heian-kyō, the old name of Kyoto during the Heian era of Japan, called Denji Heian-kyō. A high school delinquent named Takeru Narehira is transported from our world to Denji Heian-kyō after an accident and meets Tsukimiya, a woman he saw in his dreams.
