Wild Hearts S producer Takuto Edagawa shared some insight into the raw compute power of Nintendo Switch 2, claiming that it’s closer to the Xbox Series S than the PlayStation 4 in an interview at Wccftech. Wild Hearts S is one of multiple titles planned for release on Nintendo Switch 2 by Koei Tecmo.
Regarding Nintendo Switch 2, Edagawa said, “There are a lot of characteristics when it comes to raw computing power so it’s difficult to generalize, but I think it can be thought as closer to the Series S.”
Wild Hearts S will release for Nintendo Switch 2 on July 25. The game features a 4-player co-op mode with online connectivity and local play, but it will not support cross-play or GameShare. A Nintendo Switch Online membership is required for online play. However, an EA account is not necessary.
The game also leverages the use of GameChat on Nintendo Switch 2, and additional beasts and modes from the original Wild Hearts game are included from the start. Bonuses from Wild Hearts Karakuri Edition are included in Wild Hearts S, such as two full cosmetic armor sets, a decorate Tsukumo lantern, and three emotes. However, there are no new additional weapons, Karakuri, or beasts. What’s more, there are various balance adjustments that were made.
Koei Tecmo and Kou Shibusawa’s real-time strategy game Nobunaga’s Ambition: Awakening Complete Edition launched alongside Nintendo Switch 2. The game takes full advantage of Nintendo Switch 2’s mouse controls.
Koei Tecmo is currently developing Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment with Nintendo. The game takes place before the events of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
