    The Dangers in My Heart Spin-off Manga Announced

    The new manga will focus on Kyōtarō Ichikawa's sister.

    Norio Sakurai, creator of the Dangers in My Heart, revealed on his Twitter account that he will be launching a spin-off manga called Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu Love Comedy ga Hajimaranai (The Dangers in My Heart: A Romantic Comedy Will Not Start).

    The Dangers in My Heart spin-off manga will debut on July 22 on the Akita Shoten’s Champion Cross manga website. The manga will focus on Kyōtarō’s older sister, Kana. Norio Sakurai will team up with Haika Nanasaka, who will draw the manga.

    The Dangers in My Heart manga was first released in Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine in March 2018. The manga inspired its own anime. Season one debuted in April 2023, while season two was released in January 2024. Fans can watch seasons one and two on HIDIVE. What’s more, HIDIVE will also be hosting a panel at Anime Expo 2025 for the upcoming The Dangers in My Heart movie.

    Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the original manga and will publish the manga’s 11th volume on August 5. Lastly, here’s an overview of the manga via Seven Seas Entertainment.

    Kyōtarō Ichikawa, a boy barely clinging to the bottom rung of his school’s social ladder. He secretly believes he’s the tortured lead in some psychological thriller. He spends his days dreaming up ways to disrupt his classmates’ peaceful lives and pining after Anna Yamada, the class idol. But Kyōtarō’s not nearly the troubled teen he pretends to be…and it turns out Anna’s a bit odd herself!
