The Summer Hikaru Died
The Summer Hikaru Died is one of the most sought-after anime for fans of supernatural mystery anime. It revolves around the story of Yoshiki and Hikaru, two boys who have been best friends for a long time. However, one day, Yoshiki notices a shift in Hikaru’s attitude, to the point of even suspecting his identity. He notices that the person in front of him is nothing like his friend despite sharing the same memories and appearance. He then confronts him about his change in attitude. Hikaru transforms into a strange entity and threatens to kill him if he cannot accept the change and even goes as far as confessing his love to him. Now, Yoshiki must process his friend’s death while sorting out the phenomenon plaguing his town. The Summer Hikaru Died premieres on July 5, exclusively on Netflix.
Lord of the Mysteries
The Lord of the Mysteries anime has been, without a doubt, one of the most anticipated anime of the entire year. The anime based on the legendary novel by famous author Cuttlefish That Loves Diving has been on the tips of everyone’s lips since the trailer dropped. The novel is already hailed as one of the best web novels in the world and has been consistently praised for the mystery and entertainment it provides through the MC Klein Moretti. The anime will focus on the adventures of Klein as he is thrust into a new world and must use his wits to fool everyone while rising to the top.
DAN DA DAN Season 2
DAN DA DAN blew everyone away with its incredible first season, which led to the anime winning a few awards at the Crunchyroll Awards. However, the anime left fans on a massive cliffhanger, with many fans resisting the urge to read the manga while counting down to season 2. Season 2 will see Momo and Okarun continue their investigation of Jiji’s place and take on a new big bad, Evil Eyes. The anime is set to premiere on July 3.
Kaiju No. 8 Season 2

It’s a big season for romance enthusiasts, as one of the most highly sought-after romance anime, Call of the Night, is returning for its second season this July. The story follows the life of Kou, who struggles to sleep due to the boredom of his daily life. He eventually quits school and starts wandering around town in search of excitement. He then runs into Nazuna, a vampire girl who shows him all the wonderful things that can happen at night. Struck by fascination, Kou asks Nazuna to turn him into a vampire so he can also enjoy the night for as long as possible. However, there is a catch, as Kou must fall in love with Nazuna before that can happen, leading to a load of hilarious circumstances.
The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 4
Following the success of the last season, The Rising of the Shield Hero will be returning this July for its fourth season. The previous season ended on a high note as Raphtalia was revealed to be a royal descendant of the Qten Lo, who is now trying to kill her. Season 4 will most likely focus on Naofumi and his group going to Q Ten Lo to stop the assassination while revealing Raphtalia’s past.
Tougen Anki
Tougen Anki takes place in a world where people with Momotaru and Oni blood are locked in a heated rivalry spanning decades. It follows the life of Shiki Ichinose, a reckless young boy who lives with his caring foster father, Tsuyoshi. However, their peaceful life is turned upside down as a Momotaru barges into their house looking for Shiki. Despite being a Momotaru, Tsuyoshi defends Shiki and gives up his life to save Shiki. However, before dying, he tells Shiki the secrets behind his Oni blood. With grief as his catalyst, Shiki awakens, leading to the arrival of Naito Mudano, an Oni teacher at the Rakshasa Academy- which trains young Oni to use their powers. Shiki must now survive his new environment and learn to harness his powers before seeking revenge on his father’s killer. Tougen Anki premieres on July 11.
Gachiakuta
Gachiakuta is based on Kei Urana’s popular manga of the same name. It follows the story of Rudo, a poor boy who lives in the slums of a floating town. While the poor struggle to survive, the rich live an extravagant lifestyle, paying no heed to the plight of the slum dwellers. One day, Rudo is falsely accused of murder and is sentenced to exile off the edge where the trash is kept. Now surrounded by monsters and other vicious castaways, Rudo must master his new powers while trying to uncover the truth behind his exile. Gachiakuta will premiere on July 6 and stream on Crunchyroll.
