During Summer Game Fest 2025, Hideo Kojima released a brand-new clip for Death Stranding 2: On The Beach. The clip features a new look at the character of Neil and Lucy, played by Luca Martinelli and Alissa Jung respectively.
The clip features an interview between the two characters and highlights a mysterious connection between them. Kojima also confirmed that Neil will fill the role that Cliff Unger (Mads Mikkelsen) played in the first game. Recently, Kojima Productions announced the Death Stranding 2: On The Beach Game Premiere event. Geoff Keighley will host the event at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles, CA on June 8 at 7:00 PM PDT/ 10:00 PM EDT. According to Kojima, the new footage will feature another look at Neil, plus new gameplay footage.
Hideo Kojima will join Geoff Keighley for a panel discussion with special guests and a live demonstration of Death Stranding 2: On The Beach. In addition, limited tickets for Death Stranding 2: On The Beach Game Premiere are available now at cvent.com. Those aren’t able to attend can still tune into the official livestream on YouTube.
It’s also worth noting that tickets to the Death Stranding Strands of Harmony World Tour are on sale at the tour’s official website. The orchestra concert comes to major cities around the world from November 2025 through March 2026. It will feature arrangements by Ludvig Forssell, Low Roar, and other artists, with synchronized HD videos playing on screen to relive the stories of Death Stranding.
Further, Hideo Kojima recently confirmed Death Stranding 2: On The Beach has gone gold ahead of launch on June 26 for PlayStation 5. Reaching gold status means that development is now complete, and the game is ready for mass production. What’s more, pre-orders for the game’s Collector’s Edition and Digital Deluxe Edition are available now.
