Nintendo released the version 1.1.2 update for Pikmin 3 Deluxe to partially alleviate and fix an issue that occurs when playing the game on Nintendo Switch 2. The issue causes the entire screen to flicker during some scenes in Pikmin 3 Deluxe, including when the day starts and ends while playing on Nintendo Switch 2.
A subsequent update for Pikmin 3 Deluxe will be released at a later date on Nintendo Switch 2 in order to fully fix the bug. In addition, the fix will also apply to the Pikmin 3 Deluxe demo.

Pikmin 3 Deluxe Update 1.1.2 Patch Notes
The following updates have been made when playing the game on Nintendo Switch 2:
General
- Partially alleviated an issue that occurs when playing on Nintendo Switch 2 where the entire screen flickers during some scenes in the game, such as when a day starts and ends.
- We will be releasing an update in the near feature to fix this completely.
Note: An update addressing the problem above has not been distributed for Pikmin 3 Deluxe Demo ver. However, we plan to perform the same fix as the full game in a future update.
Pikmin 3 Deluxe is available now for Nintendo Switch alongside a free demo, which supports save data transfers to the full game. As an added bonus, defeating the first boss in the demo and transferring save-data to the full version of Pikmin 3 Deluxe will immediately unlock the “Ultra-Spicy” difficulty option in the game.
Nintendo Switch 2 will launch on June 5 for $449.99. A bundle will be available for $499.99 featuring Mario Kart World. Pre-orders for Nintendo Switch 2 at Best Buy, Walmart and Target went live on April 24 and quickly sold out within just a few hours. However, Nintendo and other retailers will periodically replenish stock leading into launch. Lastly, other games like Cyberpunk 2077 and upgrade packs for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom will also be available.
