    IO Interactive Announces 007 First Light, June 6 Showcase

    The new James Bond game is heading to Nintendo Switch 2.

    IO Interactive has announced that Project 007 will be released as 007 First Light, and more details about the game will be revealed at the first-ever IOI Showcase on June 6. Thus far, 007 First Light has been confirmed for Nintendo Switch 2.

    The teaser website offers the following description, “007 First Light is a brand new James Bond video game developed and published by IO Interactive. Featuring a wholly original Bond origin story, players will step into the shoes of the world’s favorite Secret Agent to earn their 00 status.”

    The IOI Showcase will reveal new trailers, announcements, gameplay demos, and much more for Hitman: World of Assassination, 007 First Light, and MindsEye. It will be livestreamed from Los Angeles on IO Interactive’s TwitchYouTube, and TikTok channels starting Friday, June 6 at 6:00 p.m. PDT. 

    What’s more, pre-orders for Hitman: World of Assassination Signature Edition ($59.99) are now available for Nintendo Switch 2, ahead of the game’s June 5 launch. In the Nintendo eShop, digital pre-orders for Hitman: World of Assassination Signature Edition will include the Signature Pack featuring two additional outfits and items. Physical pre-orders will include the Signature Pack and Quack Pack, which includes an additional outfit and item. These new outfits are based on Nintendo’s own Mario and Luigi.

    Lastly, Hitman: World of Assassination Signature Edition will include the main campaign, Contracts mode, Escalation, Elusive Targets, the Freelancer game mode, and all Hitman 2 and expansion content. In total, players can expect more than 100 hours of content, along with future updates and content developed by IO Interactive.
