Street Fighter 6 and game music composer Yoko Shimomura are teaming up for a special collaboration. With Elena’s upcoming update, a new BGM track titled “Edge of Triumph” will release. This BGM is created by Yoko Shimomura, composer for the Kingdom Hearts games and Street Fighter II. Shimomura hasn’t composed for a Street Fighter game in 34 years, making this a huge comeback for her.
Players will be able to select this song in the Character BGM settings, so stay tuned for this update on June 5. In the meantime, check out the song below, via Street Fighter‘s official X/Twitter account:

Additionally, the Elena update will introduce two new features to Challenge Customization: “VS Type Layout” and “Sound Priority”. On June 5, players will be able to change the layout and sound priority of the Challenge screen to customize its appearance. After being matched with an opponent online, the newly created Challenge screen will pop up.
That’s not all coming to the Elena update though. Be sure to check out the upcoming “Get Ready for Elena!” fighting pass that will arrive with Elena’s release. This pass features avatar gear, challenger screen effects, and more that are inspired by some of the characters in Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike.
Retailers like Walmart, Best Buy, and GameStop have updated prices for the upcoming Street Fighter 6 amiibo, which now received a $10 increase. The increase is likely due to the ongoing and evolving tariffs situation between the US and China. Going forward, the new Street Fighter 6 amiibo for Luke, Jamie, and Kimberly will cost $39.99 each.
On Nintendo Switch 2, Street Fighter 6 will feature a new Local Wireless mode, allowing for local play between users with the system. Local Wireless also features Avatar Matches, allowing players to use their custom avatar from World Tour. Pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 version are available now in the Nintendo eShop.
What’s more, the Nintendo Switch 2 version supports tabletop mode with single Joy-Con play, Gyro Battle using dynamic motion controls, and Calorie Contest Mode, which allows players to test their strength and endurance with exercises.
Street Fighter 6 is available now on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC via Steam, and Xbox Series X|S.
