Kuro Games announced the next version update for Wuthering Waves. Version 2.4, titled Lightly We Toss the Crown, will be released for Android, iOS, and PC via Windows and Epic Games Store, and on PlayStation 5 on June 12 (UTC+8). This update will introduce a brand-new region, as well as two new Resonators.
Wuthering Waves Version 2.4 Adds A New Area
After teaming up with Ciaccona to uncover the secrets behind the Golden Anthem, the Rover now turns to finding more about Cartethyia’s sudden disappearance. The Rover believes she may have gone to Septimont, one of Rinascita’s city states, since they can sense that her frequency has made its way over there.
Septimont has long been threatened by the Dark Tide. As such, their population undergoes severe training to be able to withstand any invasions, transforming it into a city of warriors that does not worship any Divinity like the Sentinel. One of the city’s most attractive points is the Great Agon gladiator competition, where travelers from around the world come to compete. The Rover will have to compete in this tournament in hopes that they can find more about Cartethyia’s whereabouts.
Wuthering Waves Version 2.4 Resonators
Two new 5-Star Resonators will make their debut in Version 2.4. The first is Cartethyia, who is an Aero Sword Resonator. She is a Main Damage Dealer that can utilize Aero Erosion effects to increase her damage in various ways. Her Resonance Liberation will switch into her Fleurdelys form, which can further enhance her damage.
The second 5-Star resonator is Lupa, who is a Fusion Broadblade Resonator, and the rising star of Septimont’s gladiator arena. Her spear is capable of attacking enemies even from mid-air. As she attacks, Lupa can obtain stacks of Wolfaith, and when she obtains enough, she is able to cast Dance With the Wolf – Climax, which will allow Lupa to assist an ally whenever they cast their Resonance Liberation.
Wuthering Waves Version 2.4 Optimizations
- In-game Guide Depot: Visit the in-game guide depot for information on how to build your Resonators and set up optimum team comps.
- Focus Mode: When enabled, this mode will ensure that no Resonator or location will become unavailable as you progress through a quest.
- Global Filter: Added the Global Filter feature for PC, PS5, and Mac. Select a filter that you prefer on the Global Filter page and adjust the intensity of the filter. Using the Global Filter feature allows you to adjust in-game visuals. Please note that cutscenes and UI elements will not be affected by the filter.
- Main Quest Fast Track Event: Optimized the Next Stop: Rinascita event. After activating Jinzhou’s Resonance Nexus during Main Quest, you can go to Rinascita directly and start experiencing Version 2.0 content.
Wuthering Waves Version 2.4 Trailer
Wuthering Waves launched on May 22, 2024 for Android, iOS, and PC via Windows and Epic Games Store, and on PlayStation 5 in early January 2025. Over 30 million players have downloaded the game thus far. To celebrate 30 million downloads, Kuro Games distributed Lustrous Tide x10 and Crystal Solvent x5 to all Wuthering Waves players for free.
