Kodansha’s YanMaga app has revealed that an anime adaptation of I’m a Curse Crafter, and I Don’t Need an S-Rank Party! is in development. It will specifically adapt the manga.
The manga debuted on the app in September 2021. The series’ 11th volume will release on June 6. It started as a web novel which debuted on January 2021. In the past year, the English version of the manga reached #1 ranked in sales via K MANGA. There are also 2.5 million copies in circulation in Japan. The release date, staff, cast, and distributors for the anime are currently unknown.

A manga adaptation of the fantasy webnovel that’s taking Japan by storm! Gail Hamilton is a “curse crafter“ who got booted from his party for allegedly not pulling his weight…right after they were promoted to the Guild’s “S“ rank. But too bad for them, because Gail’s going it alone now…and causing a sensation with the creepy-yet-useful curses he works with!
In other manga news that happened this week, Bkub Okawa, author of Pop Team Epic which is published by Kodansha, announced that he will no longer update the manga with new content daily. This will start in June. Instead of daily updates, the Pop Team Epic manga will receive an update on the 15th of the every month.
Okawa launched the Pop Team Epic manga in Takeshobo’s Manga Life Win website in 2014. The first “season” ended of the manga in 2015. The manga ran for three more “seasons,” with the fourth season that ended in January 2019.
