According to the new Nintendo Switch App, you can upload screenshots and videos taken on the Nintendo Switch 2 automatically to the app. The app can store up to 100 files for up to 30 days.
The process is far more streamlined in comparison to the original Nintendo Switch. The only way to upload screenshots and videos is via a linked social media account, an SD card, or sending them to your phone via a QR code. Videos on the Nintendo Switch 2 will still be 30 seconds long, once uploaded to the app, old files will be deleted after 100 files or 30 days. It appears this feature is exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2.

Nintendo previously showcased its official Nintendo Switch 2 carrying case in the Nintendo Today app. The carrying case has enough room for six game cards and two Joy-Con 2 straps, along with the actual Nintendo Switch 2 console and Joy-Con 2 controllers, and it will be available at Nintendo.com and retailers.
Nintendo Today also confirmed that video captures on the Nintendo Switch 2 will still be 30 seconds long, just like its predecessor. The original Nintendo Switch recorded video at 720p/30 FPS, and it’s likely that Nintendo Switch 2 will record footage at 1080p. It’s worth noting, though, that Nintendo has also now blocked users from taking screenshots and screen recordings in the app.
Nintendo Switch 2 will launch on June 5 for $449.99. A bundle will be available for $499.99 featuring Mario Kart World. Pre-orders for Nintendo Switch 2 at Best Buy, Walmart and Target went live on April 24 and quickly sold out within just a few hours. However, Nintendo and other retailers will periodically replenish stock leading into launch.
