Capcom has announced that a new set of buffs for the hammer weapon in Monster Hunter Wilds are available now via Version 1.011. The second set of buffs for the weapon will release with title update 2.
Alongside the recent Street Fighter 6 collaboration, Version 1.011 also modifies the power of the hammer weapon in Monster Hunter Wilds. The patch notes describe the update:
- The overall power of attacks has been increased.
- Element scaling for Charge Shot and Overhead Smash has been increased.
- You can now evade while readying an Upswing attack.
- The responsiveness of actions performed while charging has been improved, and sliding has been made easier to perform.
- Enlarged the hitboxes for Upswing and sneak attacks.
- The cancel timing for Focus Blow: Earthquake is now slightly earlier.
- Fixed an issue where selecting an item from the Custom Radial Menu would not automatically use the item after sheathing your weapon.
The Monster Hunter Wilds and Street Fighter 6 collaboration includes a special side mission called “Ultimate Strength,” featuring Akuma. Players can claim special collab rewards by completing the quest and the collab arena quests Demonic Strength and True Strength. These rewards include:
- “Akuma” hunter full armor set and layered equipment
- “Blanka-Chan” Palico full armor set and layered equipment
- Hunter Profile background, nameplate, and pose

Monster Hunter Wilds is available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Final Weapon gave Monster Hunter Wilds a 4/5 score, noting that it’s an excellent entry in the long-running series and a worthy follow-up to Monster Hunter World.
