Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising revealed the patch notes for update 2.10 on the game’s official website. This patch contains many quality-of-life changes to training mode, menus, online features, and a few balance updates.
Additionally, Galleon is the latest DLC character arriving to this patch, and she includes the following items:
- Galleon Premium Avatar.
- A music track, weapon skins, badges, titles, card design, sticker, weapon cutout, Figure Studio poses, and expressions for Galleon (Galleon must be unlocked as a playable character to access these features, except stickers).
- Galleon added to the Rupie Shop under Special Content (Purchases made via the Special Content tab do not come with a bonus serial code).
- (PS5/PS4 only) Galleon Purchase Bonus added to the Serial Codes screen in the Options menu.

Recently, Cygames released a trailer showcasing the rest of Character Pass Season 2. Along with Galleon and the previously released Sandalhpon, the following characters will be arriving in the upcoming Season 2:
- Wilnas (Summer 2025)
- Meg (Fall 2025)
- Ilsa (Early 2026)
Moreover, Battle Pass Season 8 will introduce many different weapon skins, badges, avatars, card designs, and a new outfit for Vaseraga.
While there is still much more GBVSR news to be revealed in the future, the developers teased that they are working on three different control schemes for the game:
- Manual – Classic
- Smart – Gives players the ability to do autocombos that automatically execute special moves afterward
- Super Ultimate – More information on this will be revealed at a later date
Also, GBVSR is officially a part of the main game lineup at EVO 2025 alongside Tekken 8, Guilty Gear Strive, Under Night In-Birth II Sys:Celes, Mortal Kombat 1, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, and Marvel vs Capcom 2. EVO 2025 will run from August 1 to 3 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada. While there is no news of whether they will announce something or not for GBVSR, please stay tuned.
