Via a new post on Nintendo Today, Nintendo has revealed that the Nintendo Switch 2 GameChat will allow players to choose from different screen sizes. Three display options will be available.

The screen layout options are either “standard,” “expand main screen,” or “full screen.” The options adjust the size of the player’s screen in comparison to the screens of others using GameChat. Check out the comparison of the different screen sizes available to players for the GameChat on Nintendo Switch 2 below:

Nintendo previously showcased its official Nintendo Switch 2 carrying case in the Nintendo Today app. The carrying case has enough room for six game cards and two Joy-Con 2 straps, along with the actual Nintendo Switch 2 console and Joy-Con 2 controllers, and it will be available at Nintendo.com and retailers.

Nintendo Today also confirmed that video captures on the Nintendo Switch 2 will still be 30 seconds long, just like its predecessor. The original Nintendo Switch recorded video at 720p/30 FPS, and it’s likely that Nintendo Switch 2 will record footage at 1080p. Further details were not revealed yet, however.

Nintendo Switch 2 will launch on June 5 for $449.99. A bundle will be available for $499.99 featuring Mario Kart World. Pre-orders for Nintendo Switch 2 at Best Buy, Walmart and Target went live on April 24 and quickly sold out within just a few hours. However, Nintendo and other retailers will periodically replenish stock leading into launch. Other games like Cyberpunk 2077 and upgrade packs for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom will also be available.
