The official website of the upcoming anime, Betrothed to My Sister’s Ex, has announced that it will air on July 4. It has also revealed a new promo video for the series.

Tobirano started the web novel in 2019. Futabasha began publishing the light novel adaptations in 2020. Chikage Nakagura also launched a vertical-scrolling manga adaptation in 2020. The manga is available on Pocket Comics and via Seven Seas Entertainment. The latter describes the series as follows:
