HAMSTER Corporation and Bandai Namco announced Arcade Archives 2 Ridge Racer will be available on Xbox Series X|S alongside PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5. In addition, Arcade Archives Ridge Racer will be available on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.
Arcade Archives 2 Ridge Racer will cost $16.99, whereas Arcade Archives Ridge Racer will cost $14.99. Players who own Arcade Archives Ridge Racer on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 can upgrade to Arcade Archives 2 Ridge Racer on Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5, respectively, for $2.99.
Arcade Archives 2 Ridge Racer is a port of the original 1993 Ridge Racer game with a completely redesigned user interface and new features. The game features a Time Attack Mode, multiple save slots, a new rewind feature, a quick start feature, and variable refresh rate (VRR) support, according to HAMSTER Corporation’s official website.
Before playing the remastered Ridge Racer game, Nintendo fans may try out Ridge Racer 64 on the Nintendo Switch via the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service. The game initially released on the Nintendo 64 in 2000. The game joined the Expansion Pack service alongside The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Goldeneye 007, Perfect Dark, and countless other games.
Bandai Namco fans can also look forward to Shadow Labyrinth, a new 2D action platformer with an alternate take on PAC-MAN. The game will launch on July 18 for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. A Digital Deluxe Edition of Shadow Labyrinth will be available on all platforms featuring a digital artbook and soundtrack, and digital pre-orders are going live with special bonuses.
