Nintendo has filed a new trademark for Hotel Dusk: Room 215 in Japan. The game initially released for the Nintendo DS in 2007.
Last year, Nintendo released remakes of two beloved games from Cing, the developers of Hotel Dusk: Room 215. These were Another Code: Two Memories and its 2009 sequel Another Code R: A Journey Into Lost Memories, which Nintendo recompiled last year into Another Code: Recollection. Like with Hotel Dusk, Nintendo filed a trademark for Another Code years before the remake was released.
Hotel Dusk: Room 2015 has gained a cult following since its release in 2007 due to its mystery/noir style. It functioned like a crime novel and even required players to hold their DS vertically, almost like an actual book. If Nintendo releases a remake, it will likely be available for the Nintendo Switch 2.
Recently, Nintendo Today confirmed that video captures on the Nintendo Switch 2 will still be 30 seconds long, just like its predecessor. The original Nintendo Switch recorded video at 720p/30 FPS, and it’s likely that Nintendo Switch 2 will record footage at 1080p. Nintendo has not revealed further details yet, however.
Nintendo Switch 2 will launch on June 5 for $449.99. A bundle will be available for $499.99 featuring Mario Kart World. Pre-orders for Nintendo Switch 2 at Best Buy, Walmart and Target went live on April 24 and quickly sold out within just a few hours. However, Nintendo and other retailers will periodically replenish stock leading into launch. Other games like Cyberpunk 2077 and upgrade packs for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom will also be available.
