Activision has announced that support for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will be ending on May 18. The game will no longer be available to download on the App Store and Google Play Store, there will be no new updates or support for bugs, and online matchmaking services will still continue.
If you have the game installed before May 19, you can still use cross-progression of shared inventories between systems and continue to play online. Any unspent COD Points can also go towards in-game content in the store. However, the game will no longer to be download and there will be no more seasonal updates.
The mobile game initially released in March 20, 2024 on iOS and Android, and it collaborated with franchises such as Fallout and Godzilla x Kong. Currently, Call of Duty: Warzone is available to play on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
In a statement, Activision said the following:
“We deeply appreciate your dedication and passion for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile. Going forward, we will be streamlining the scope of the game. This decision was made after careful consideration of various factors and while we’re proud of the accomplishment in bringing Call of Duty: Warzone to mobile in an authentic way, it unfortunately has not met our expectations with mobile-first players like it has with PC and console audiences…
We know that this news may be disappointing, and we truly appreciate the support, passion, feedback, and dedication from our community. We have special incentives for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile players in Call of Duty: Mobile and encourage our players to try it for free.”
