An extremely simple way to add more storage to the console.

Nintendo has released a new video on its Nintendo Today app, demonstrating how to insert a microSD Express Card into a Nintendo Switch 2. MicroSD Express Cards officially licensed by Nintendo (that contain 256 GB) will be available at several local and online retailers for $59.99.

In order to insert a microSD Express Card into the Nintendo Switch 2, players must lift the console’s kickstand all the way up. Underneath is a small slot that players can insert the card into. Once inserted, players will be able to use the storage card on their system. Check out the video demonstrating installment of the microSD express card into the Nintendo Switch 2 below:

Earlier this week, Nintendo showcased some of the Nintendo Switch 2’s new features via the Nintendo Today app. Specifically, it showed the ability to lock the console with a PIN, prevent the console from charging further once it reaches 90%, and use the Joy-Con 2 mouse to navigate the HOME menu. Players can enable the PIN option and limited charging in the system settings menu.

Nintendo Switch 2 will launch on June 5 for $449.99. A bundle will be available for $499.99 featuring Mario Kart World. Pre-orders for Nintendo Switch 2 at Best BuyWalmart and Target went live on April 24 at 12:00 a.m. EDT and quickly sold out within just a few hours. However, Nintendo and other retailers will periodically replenish stock leading into launch. Other games like Cyberpunk 2077 and upgrade packs for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom will also be available at launch.
