In a new interview, Sandfall Interactive CEO Guillaume Broche commented on the possibility at a port of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 for the Nintendo Switch 2, saying that it “could be interesting.”

Broche said the following about the possibility of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 on the Nintendo Switch 2: “Well, at this point, considering the success of the game, it kind of changes everything. So clearly, it’s too early to say, but we’re kind of in a situation where… let’s say there are a lot of opportunities showing up — way too many at once — and we’re figuring out what we’ll go for and what we won’t. But yeah, it’s definitely something that could be interesting.”

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is available now PlayStation 5Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. The game has recently sold over two million copies across all platforms. In our review of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, we gave it a 3.5 and stated that it is “a graphically beautiful game, but despite its glowing reputation, it does little to innovate within the RPG genre. The lack of navigation tools makes exploring its world incredibly frustrating, and the story only starts to get interesting near the very end.”

Lastly, here’s an overview of the game’s premise, via Steam:

Year By Year She Erases Us

Once a year, the Paintress wakes and paints upon her monolith. Paints her cursed number. And everyone of that age turns to smoke and fades away. Year by year, that number ticks down and more of us are erased. Tomorrow she’ll wake and paint “33.” And tomorrow we depart on our final mission – Destroy the Paintress, so she can never paint death again.

    We are Expedition 33.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a ground-breaking turn-based RPG with unique real-time mechanics, making battles more immersive and addictive than ever. Explore a fantasy world inspired by Belle Époque France in which you battle devastating enemies.
