The Official ATLUS West X (formerly Twitter) account has teased upcoming news for the global release of Persona 5: The Phantom X. It’s unclear when the news will be delivered, but news about the Japanese release of Persona 5: The Phantom will be dropping this week, so information about the global version is likely imminent.
Persona 5: The Phantom X will release in summer 2025 in Japan, and the release date will be revealed at “P5X News Vol. 2 – Release Date Announcement Special!.” The livestream will be held on May 15 at 7:00 a.m. PDT / 10:00 a.m. EDT on YouTube. It will be hosted by freelance announcer Neki Matsuzawa alongside special guests include Kaede Hondo (voice of Motoha Arai) and Chika Anzai (voice of YUI).
Previously, Perfect World Games released Persona 5: The Phantom X Version 4.0 “The Melancholy of the Masked Actor” on April 10. A Persona 3 Reload collaboration was also introduced featuring the Persona 3 Reload protagonist as a playable character. Perfect World Games also wants to host collaborations with other Persona titles.
Additionally, Persona 5: The Phantom X received a new opening movie with the theme song “Show Stealer” by Lyn and ATLUS Sound Team. The new song is now streaming on Spotify.
Pre-registration for Persona 5: The Phantom X is live in Japan, and players may pre-register by following the official Japanese Twitter account or friending the official LINE account.
A global release is planned at some point, followed by console versions of Persona 5: The Phantom X. Persona 5: The Phantom X is available now for Android, iOS, and PC in China, Taiwan, and South Korea, and the Steam versin is coming soon to China.
