During the Nintendo Switch 2 Experience event in Amsterdam, a representative from CD Projekt Red confirmed that the Switch 2 version of Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition has gone gold. Since Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition has gone gold, Switch 2 copies are now ready for mass production.
As previously announced, Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition will ship on a 64 GB game card for Nintendo Switch 2. This means players will have access to Cyberpunk 2077 and the Phantom Liberty expansion from the game card itself starting at launch on June 5. The game will be available for $69.99 physically and digitally.
Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition for Nintendo Switch 2 will use a version of DLSS. DLSS is powered by the console’s Tensor Cores from NVIDIA, and the upscaling technology is utilized in four modes in handheld and docked modes, each with performance and quality variants, in Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition. It’s unclear which version of DLSS is being used yet, however.
Additional language packs will be available in the Nintendo eShop for Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, which may affect the final size of the game. Moreover, CD Projekt Red confirmed that the Nintendo Switch 2 features gyroscope aiming, motion controls, touch screen commands, and mouse controls.
Nintendo Switch 2 will launch on June 5 with a $449.99 MSRP, and a bundle will be available for $499.99 featuring Mario Kart World. Pre-orders for Nintendo Switch 2 at Best Buy, Walmart and Target went live on April 24 at 12:00 a.m. EDT, but stock will be replenished periodically leading into launch.
