Nexon and Neople announced the Ultimate Challenge update for The First Berserker: Khazan will launch on May 15. The update will introduce the “Great General’s Crucible” and “Berserker’s Bloodshed” Boss Rush Modes.

The First Berserker: Khazan players gain access to the Ultimate Challenge after beating the game and watching the ending. A new menu will appear on the title screen, where players can select to play the new Boss Rush modes.

In Great General’s Crucible, players fight through groups of thematically organized bosses, unlocking the next theme as they progress. Players will fight with designated specs (gear, level, skills, etc.) to earn a special reward after completely all boss fights.

Berserker’s Bloodshed lets players make their character stronger with rewards earned from consecutive fights. A final reward is bestowed to those who defeat the final boss, including new weapons and set items.

The developers will be gauging feedback from the Boss Rush modes for future content. Moreover, the update grants access to Change Appearance in the first playthrough. It will be unlocked after completion of the Blacksmith’s Heirloom mission.

A new update is planned to release in late May to early June 2025 with new fast-traveling items, teleporting from one Blade Nexus to another, and additional changes, including a buff to Phantom Form Mode. More details can be found at the Steam blog post here.
